Vietnam LED flexible lighting SMT production line, customized whole line landing

Against the backdrop of the rapid expansion of the LED lighting market in Southeast Asia, SMT production lines that are suitable for special products such as flexible light strips and large-sized panel lights have become a core requirement for upgrading the production capacity of leading lighting manufacturing enterprises. A well-known local LED lighting manufacturer in Vietnam has established an automated SMT production line specifically designed for flexible LED lighting products through a second deep cooperation with H.F.X, further consolidating its leading brand position in the lighting market in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

As a benchmark enterprise in the local LED lighting industry in Vietnam, the client has established 9 branch offices over a 23 year development cycle since its establishment in 1998. Its business scope covers the research and development production of all types of lighting fixtures, while also providing full scene lighting engineering installation services. Its products are widely used in residential homes and various commercial areas, making it an excellent lighting brand manufacturer in Vietnam and even the entire Southeast Asian market.

In 2017, the customer contacted H.F.X again and planned to add a brand new LED dedicated SMT production line, specifically for producing LED bulbs, spotlights, and various flexible light strip products. Thanks to the pleasant cooperation experience accumulated by both parties before, the docking and finalization process of the second SMT production line plan was very smooth, with almost no unnecessary communication costs.

At that time, the customer's demand for capacity expansion was very clear: after the new production line was put into operation, it could increase the supply capacity of 2 million LED bulbs to the domestic market in Vietnam every year, while also meeting the mass production needs of 1.5-meter extended panel lights and flexible LED light strips. In response to such special product requirements, H.F.X's technical engineers have tailored a full line configuration plan for customers: the entire line is equipped with two high-speed SMT surface mount machines, and is also equipped with H.F.X's popular 8-temperature zone precision reflow soldering furnace, fully covering the surface mount soldering requirements of multiple categories of special lighting products.

Our senior engineer Ben has completed the layout design of the entire workshop for this LED SMT production line. The customer completed the decoration and renovation of the new workshop in advance according to the final confirmed layout plan, and simultaneously deployed the supporting power and gas supply systems in advance. The total operating power of this LED SMT line is about 80KW, and the reflow soldering furnace is powered by an industrial grade 380V three-phase power supply, fully compatible with the local industrial electricity standards in Vietnam.

After all the equipment arrived at the customer's factory, Ben made a special trip to the production base in Vietnam to provide the customer team with full process equipment installation and commissioning services. Due to the rich equipment operation experience of the customer's SMT technology team, the core focus of this on-site training is entirely on the exclusive production process of flexible LED light strips. The production substrate of flexible light strips differs greatly from conventional hard aluminum substrates, and there are many special process details and precautions in the production process. Ben has provided detailed and comprehensive explanations and practical demonstrations to the customer's engineering team for all such special issues, helping the customer quickly master the stable mass production capability of flexible light strips.
